Planned season dates: June 8 - September 15

Ramcharger 8 is scheduled to operate seven days a week all season. Swift Current 6 and Explorer are scheduled to operate Thursday - Sunday until June 30 and 7 days a week from July 1 - September 15.

Scenic lift tickets allow you to ride our summer chairlifts—Ramcharger 8, Swift Current 6, and Explorer—as many times as you wish throughout the day.

Ramcharger 8 and Swift Current 6 provide beautiful scenic views of the mountains. Ride up and take some time to explore the mountain from a higher elevation. When you're ready, take the lift down, or if you're feeling adventurous, one of the hiking trails down to the Village. Please note that Explorer cannot be ridden downhill, and the only way down is via the Huckleberry trail.

Scenic Lift Ticket Pickup

If you've loaded your ticket onto an existing Sky Card, you can head straight to the lifts.

If you purchased a new Sky Card with your lift ticket, you can scan the QR code in your confirmation email to print out your RFID card at any of our Sky Card Express Boxes.

Cancellation Policy

All summer season dates are tentative and subject to change based on weather, maintenance, repairs, and other conditions. No refunds will be issued for closures or stoppages. Unused tickets may be eligible for credit towards another day if inclement weather prevented their use.

Experience Lone Peak from base to Summit in this guided expedition.|

Ride up the Swift Current 6 chairlift, then hop in a safari-style expedition vehicle that will drive you to the base of the Lone Peak Tram. Ride the tram to the top of Lone Peak at 11,166 feet above sea level. The views from the Tram are spectacular, and only surpassed by those at the very top. Guests of all ages and fitness levels can participate in this memorable activity.

• Lone Peak Expeditions will operate Thursday, July 4, and Friday-Sunday from July 5 to September 8.
• Tour start times between 9am and 3:50pm. If you don’t see a start time that works for you, please call us at 800-548-4486.
• This tour lasts around 1.5 hours.
• Fully enclosed shoes are required. If you do not arrive with appropriate footwear, you may be required to rent a pair of sneakers at your own expense.

Fly from tower to tower on the longest ziplines in the Yellowstone Region. |

Ride up the chairlift then zip down on Big Sky Resort's Adventure Zipline Tour, which is designed for speed. A ride up Swift Current 6 brings you to the top of the course. On your ride take in expansive views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks of the Madison Range. Swoop your way down the mountain on adrenaline-pumping lines spanning up to 1500 feet long and 150 feet above the forest floor. This 4-line zip course was built for speed and includes a 15ft self-rappel off of one of the towers. Race your friend on the final line twin zip!

• Participants aged 14 & under MUST be accompanied by someone 15 or older.
• This tour lasts around 2.5 hours from gear-up to the finish line.

A quick and scenic two-zip course across the Moose Tracks Gully. |

Walk up, then zip down on Big Sky Resort's Nature Zipline Tour, a fun and scenic experience. The tour begins with a 10-minute nature walk up Moose Tracks Trail. Swoop your way back down the mountain on two speedy lines from 275 and 490 feet in length and up to 50 feet in the air. Great for first-time zipliners!

This one-hour guided experience will take you around the mountain via chairlift. Learn about Big Sky Resort and our natural surroundings like the local flora and fauna, geology, and more. On the chair, you'll take in the sweeping views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks. The Guided Scenic Lift Experience is private and customizable to your group

Please be aware that groups will not be able to ride all three lifts. Your guide will gauge your interests and determine the best plan.

• Ramcharger 8 — 8 minutes one-way
• Explorer 2 — 15 minutes (uphill access only - must hike down the Huckleberry trail back to Mountain Village)

Join us at our exciting archery range in Montana. Ride up Ramcharger 8 to access the venue, and with Lone Mountain as your backdrop, you may find love for a new sport. Recommended for kids aged 8 and up.

On this two-hour hiking tour, you'll learn about local geology, flora, and fauna. Ride up a chairlift and walk down, or get your steps in by walking up the mountain to take in the sights. Your guide will help you pick the trail that best suits your interests and activity level.

Guides carry bear spray and are educated in wildlife safety to provide peace of mind while you explore. All tours leave from the Mountain Village and stay on Big Sky Resort property.

Bungee Trampoline

Bounce, jump, flip, and flip again. Take a ride on Big Sky Resort's Bungee Trampoline, located in the plaza, a great adventure for kids of all ages. Minimum weight of 40 lbs. and a maximum weight of 180lbs.

Giant Swing

Located in the plaza of Big Sky Resort is the Giant Swing. This exhilarating activity will make your day! Get hoisted up to 30 feet in the air and start your swing! Minimum weight of 45 lbs. and a maximum weight of 220 lbs.

Climbing Wall

Set your eyes on your route and test your skills.  Located in the heart of the Mountain Village Plaza.  

Hours of Operation: 11 am-4 pm Daily, weather dependent

1x and 4x tickets are transferable between activities and children.  The unlimited day pass is per child per day.  Unlimited comes with the choice of mining rough or a wooden marble for the marble track!
